Release notes

What has changed in Season Memory, newest release first.

Release 3.3

  • Back to team can show the game you chose. Pro-Team and Pro-Club. On the Matches screen, after you choose a game (Lineup & ratings, or click its row), Back to team asks whether to show that game on the team screen. Show it opens the Formation view with that game’s stats (or charts, if you were on those), its date and score, the ratings saved for it and its own lineup. No thanks goes back to the team as before. It does not ask when that game is already showing.
  • The team screen always says which game it shows. Pro-Team and Pro-Club. A line above the players reads, for example, Game 27 of 28: Sat 14 Mar 2026 · Dunmore Dynamos (A) · W 2-1, or No game loaded when it shows the team’s own lineup and the numbers on the cards. It is there on the card fronts and backs too, with a Load a game list. In the Formation view a loaded game shows its own formation and starting XI, if you saved one for it.
  • Save this to a game. Pro-Team and Pro-Club. When no game is loaded, Save this to a game… saves the lineup on the pitch (its formation and the starting XI) and each starter’s card numbers as the lineup and ratings of the game you pick. If that game already has a lineup or ratings, you are asked before they are replaced. You can change anything under Matches afterwards.

Release 3.2

  • The back of the cards: Stats and chart. Back of the cards now offers Stats and targets or Stats and chart. Stats and chart shows the season numbers and a spider chart of the six stats on the front of the card, and the chart follows the numbers as you change them. It is in the saved picture of the back too. It takes the place of Manager comments; the targets and the note are kept, but this back does not show them. One card can be different: open it and choose Back of this card. A saved file that had Manager comments opens with Stats and targets.
  • The shimmering GIF is made to look right in WhatsApp and other chat apps. Chat apps that turn a GIF into a video drew the see-through corners badly. Every picture in the GIF is now whole and solid, and the four corners round the card take the colours of the card’s own edge, so it is built to look right wherever you send it.
  • Next player works every time. On a computer, the card picture could slide down over the Next player button at the bottom of the screen, so pressing it did nothing. The picture now stops above the buttons.

Release 3.1

  • Striped shirts. When you set up a team, choose Shirt: Plain or Striped. Characters and animals wear it on every card. You can also set Shirt for a single player, in the Picture section, so one player can differ from the rest. My team pages has the same choice, so the card maker starts with it.
  • Choose what the back of the cards shows. Back of the cards sets every card to show Stats and targets or Manager comments. Manager comments shows the manager’s comments on their own, in bigger writing. One card can be different: open it and choose Back of this card.
  • Share the team as one picture. In Formation view, Share team makes one picture of the team: its name and badge, the starting XI on the pitch and the substitutes, showing whatever you chose under Show (the cards, the backs, the stats or the charts). On a phone it opens the share list. Where a device cannot share a picture, it is saved instead.
  • Pro-Team and Pro-Club: the game on the stats and charts. The Stats and Chart views now say which game they show, with its date and score, and a Game list lets you pick another. Players with a rating for that game show it; everyone else shows the numbers on their card. The Formation heading and the PDF name the game too.
  • The page background follows your colours as you choose them. On My team pages, and when you add a team to a club, the page takes on the colours of the kit you are choosing at once, instead of waiting until you press Save or Add.
  • My team pages is one click from your account. On the account page, My team pages is now the first link in both the Account Information box and the My Memberships box.
  • An easier checkout. Submit and Check Out now sits inside the Account Information box, right under your email address, so there is no hunting for it below. The separate Already a subscriber? Log in button is gone (the Already have an account? Log in here line stays), and the boxes now fit a phone screen.
  • The sign-in button always shows. The Email me a sign-in link button on the Log in page, and on the page that says your link was sent, can no longer disappear, so you can always ask for another link.

Release 3.0

  • Front and back in one shimmering picture. When a card shimmers (it has an Award or a Rank shimmer), the Picture of list under the card has a new choice, Front and back, shimmering (GIF). It makes one looping GIF with the front and the back side by side, and both shine together. Save picture and Share work as before, and Front and Back still have their own choices.
  • Set up your whole page, not just its name. On My team pages, making or changing a page (and each team page in a club) now has the same set-up as the card maker: the name, 18 ready-made kit colours or your own two colours, one of ten card backgrounds, a badge and a flag from your device, and a tick to show the flag on the cards. Choose Open and the card maker starts with all of it already in place.
  • A tidier menu. The menu across the top of every page now sits on one row, a little smaller, and has Pricing in it. Every page has a Home link, and on a phone the menu folds into one Menu button.
  • Neater on a phone. The Menu button is taller and easier to press, the boxes for inviting a manager now fit the screen, and the title of the Log in page is centred above its boxes.

Release 2.2

  • Shimmering cards save as a moving picture. When a card shimmers (it has an Award or a Rank shimmer), the Picture of list under the card now chooses Front, shimmering (GIF) by itself, so Save picture and Share make the looping GIF straight away. Choose Front or Back from the list if you want an ordinary picture.
  • Shimmering GIFs in the team ZIP. On the team page, Save all cards as pictures now adds a GIF of the front of every shimmering card to the ZIP, next to the ordinary pictures. Making them takes a little longer.
  • A Membership page. When you are signed in, choose Membership in the top bar to see your profile, your plan, when it started and when it ends (with the days left, and a Renew button when it is close or has ended), what your plan includes, and the devices that are signed in, with your recent sign-ins. A manager or assistant coach sees the plan they belong to. The top bar of every page now shows My team pages, Membership and Log out when you are signed in.

Release 2.1

  • Shimmering cards as a moving picture. A card with an Award or a Rank shimmer can now be saved or shared as a GIF: a short looping movie of the shine sweeping across the card, for the front or the back. Under the card, next to Picture of, choose Front, shimmering (GIF) or Back, shimmering (GIF), then Save picture or Share. It is made on your own device and nothing is uploaded. Cards without a shimmer still save as an ordinary picture.

Release 2

  • One choice for Grid and Formation. A new Show list works in both views: Front, Back, Stats or Chart (a spider graph of the six card stats). It replaces Card side and Formation shows, and the PDF follows it.
  • Back to team and Next player. When you edit a player’s card, both buttons are at the top of the screen and again at the bottom, so you can work through the whole team without scrolling back up.
  • Print at home. The Instructions now have a Print at home section, and the Home page says it plainly: print on your own printer and your own card stock, with nothing uploaded, so it is all in your control.
  • Save a card as a picture, and share it. Under each card, Save picture makes a PNG of the front, the back or both sides. On phones and tablets, Share opens the device’s own share list, to send the card by email, WhatsApp or text. On the team page, Save all cards as pictures makes one ZIP with every card. Pictures are made on your own device and nothing is uploaded.
  • A QR code on every card. The back of each card now has a QR code for the Season Memory website until you type your own link.
  • A new strap line: Trading Card Style Team Builder.

Release 1

  • Missing button added. The email panel for subscribers to log in now always shows its Email me a sign-in link button, and the sign-up page has a Log in button for people who already have an account.
  • Competition is now a list. In the Pro-Team and Pro-Club versions, Competition in the table of games is a list box: League, Cup, Friendly or Other. Choose Other to type your own name for it. Games you saved before keep what they had.
